Kuzuri Arts Centre is a community based organisation, based in Ndwaru Rd, Muthama area of Waithaka location,

Dagoretti South constituency in Nairobi county.
The name "Kuzuri" means [a good place]. The group derives its name from the notion of wanting to make a good place for community youth to work, live associate, interact or even call home.

Our Mission

As a non-profit organization, Kuzuri Arts Center's mission is to provide a premier venue for a wide variety of performing arts, concerts, workshops, meetings, and special events which will inspire, educate, and entertain the youth and the community in general.
It is also aimed at local capacity building, character development, providing an economic catalyst by increasing local cultural tourism, creating new jobs for the youth, and providing them with improved self esteem. We have fewer youth in the streets as a result of this initiative.

About us

Kuzuri Arts Center provides a unique Performing Arts Camp experience filled with creativity, friends, and fun. Our programs are designed for campers ages 8 -18. Our fun and unforgettable camp experience promotes the development of self-esteem, independence, and responsibility for all campers. Kuzuri Arts Centre is a thriving centre, performance arts, music and dancing, art and craft, fine art, drama both traditional and contemporary, in Dwaru rd, Muthama area. It is located behind Muthama shopping center.

What We Offer

The centre offers professional performances of Kenyan music and dance, fine art classes and workshops, gymnastics and other activities. Here local youth involved in this unique program are introduced to various activities in Kenyan and African traditional and popular culture, philosophy, and performing arts.

Our success story!

Youths who come to Kuzuri center are having their lives turned arouond as they engage in activities that help them build character, develop new skills, get into new careers and build morale and esteem. This is acheived through field trips, tours, workshops, participation in local celebrations and festivals, visits to historic sites, the museum, and cultural and art centers. Youth also perform during organized community gatherings and art festivals.
